Road Captian: Monica aka:Gypzie

Hi, I feel like a new woman since I learned how to ride!  I loved riding motorcycles while I was a teen, always as a passenger.  In July 2003 I took a motorcycle riding class, and life has since not been the same.  I joined the Desert Diamonds shortly after I purchased my 1st bike and they have since become an extended family. I keep asking myself "why did I wait so long to get my own?" Riding my Harley is the best de-stressor there is! I love to ride, travel, read, movies, cooking & eating. I'm a PM for the Technologies division of my company, and I find it ironic that I and another women are the only riders in our group!

Vice Prezident: Dawn aka:Kraziwoman

I started riding Feb. 2006. I have a 2005 Suzuki C90 Boulevard. I was riding with my husband for the prior 2 yrs. I Loved the feel of riding with him and that is what really influenced me to ride. Riding to me is one of the greatest feelings of freedom. There is nothing like going for a ride to get rid of all your worries & stress. I have been married 6 yrs & I have 1 daughter.

President: Jane  aka:Lady J.

Hi, my name is Jane and I started riding July 2003 and have been a member of the Desert Diamonds for about as long. I started on the back of a Harley with my hubby until he got his chopper and I was "pushed to learn to ride or stay at home".  I'm so glad he pushed me to ride. I can't believe I waited until I was 47 years young to learn to ride my own.  I was born to be on a bike!  Now there are so many places to ride and so little time.  I took a motorcycle riding course with Monica (in our club too) and I started out on a 2001 Deuce, but am now riding a 2003 Standard. (I still have my Deuce).  I love riding my Harleys and just did my first long road trip (3,000+ miles) last summer to Sturgis with my hubby.  We have a close-knit group of ladies in our chapter and always have fun when we get together and ride.  They are what true sisterhood is all about!

Secretary: Deb  aka: Wildchild

My name is Deborah Outman. I've been riding off an on for 40 yrs.  My 1st husband wouldn't let me have one of my own so I made a big decision and changed my life after 26 yrs. I met my soul mate and he said he would love for me to have my own bike, so at the ripe young age of 48 I got my own. It was a purple & white 1995 Honda VLX 600.  I rode it for 7 yrs putting 85,000 miles on her traveling all over the USA, even got to ride a friends in Hawaii Memorial Day 2005.   I now have a beautiful silver 2004 Honda VTX 1300 - - -what a smooth ride; I have 23,900 miles on this one.  I ride to work almost every day to my special Ed school bus driver job, which I love.   I'm now 57 yrs young and don't have any plans to stop riding as long as I can hold her up, and if that gets to be troublesome, my dream is to have a purple 1800 Gold Wing trike.

33 year old mom of two young girls ages 5 and 3, step mom of one boy 21, and grandmother of newborn boy.  Database Programmer by day, mom by night.  I started riding June of 2006.  I was convinced by several riders to try it and I’d love it.  Instead I took the class and before class was out I bought my 2004 Suzuki Volusia.  I love to ride and found this great group of women to ride with.  It’s a great hobby and takes my mind off my daily life.

Well here goes, My name is Sandi and I started riding back in Ohio in the mid 60's.  My husband @ the time brought home a 250 dirt bike for us to ride. He wanted me to jump on the back & go for a spin, well needless to say that didn't last long. Mr. Macho wanted to show off. I made him stop & I got off and went & got my own bike and have been riding my own since then.
I have owned all brands & sizes of bikes over the yrs. fom Honda Shadows to Gold Wings, Venture Royale to Harleys. I have belonged to GWRR, WOW, HOG & WITW. During my 35 yrs in Calif. I don't think there is a road in S. Calif. that I haven't been on. Been to Sturgis 2x's, rode to Bike Week & to WITW Natls. in Tampa. I love to ride, long & short rides. I now ride 06 Harley Roaad King.

Jodie Lawrosky

Hi! I’m Jodie, and have been riding since 1997. (Was a passenger from 1989-1997, then decided to learn to ride my own!) Since I took the MSF Class, I’ve had 3 Yamaha Viragos (a 750 and 2-1100’s). I rode the 750 for 12,000+ miles and sold that one. Bought an 1100 and totaled it after 33,200 miles. (minimal scrapes on the rider---Thank goodness for good gear!) Bought the current 1100 used, with 11,560 miles on it in December of 2001. As of March 2008, it has 82,440…so I’ve ridden over 116,000 miles in a little over 10 years.

Recently moved to Arizona from San Jose, CA, so I’m discovering the roads here! Have been riding with WITW since 1998. Rode as far as Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA and have been through Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, and California on my various scoots. I tend to take curvy roads at a comfortable pace, having both lead and tail-gunnered many WITW & WOW rides in the SF Bay Area. Hope you can join us on a future ride.
