As you may have read, Women in the Wind has
been around for over 30 years. Nationals are held twice a year, winter & summer, and what a blast they are.
We get the opportunity to meet other great women motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country and Canada, and to catch up
with old friends made during previous nationals. Any trip to nationals is a frequent topic of conversation for months
after the event. You never forget the overwhelming feeling of sisterhood that is present, even when it's just us, the
Desert Diamonds Chapter.
We are a small, diverse chapter, together in
Phoenix for 5+ years.
The foundation of our group is how much we love to ride, and
how frequently we get together to do so. If you can't make a ride, don't worry, something is always planned for a week
or two
away. The phones and e-mails are always in motion to coordinate a ride. The summer time is our down time
due to the excessive heat in Phoenix, but we still manage to coordinate several early morning breakfast rides, ensuring we're
back home before the temperatures rise to our normal 110s.
Most of our current members are pretty experienced
riders, but we encourage any beginner rider to join us, get out there and ride. We don't discriminate against what type
of bike you ride, as long as you can straddle your seat and want to get out there to feel the wind in your hair and bugs in
your teeth! :-)
So get in contact with us and come out to one
of our meetings or one
of our rides. You can contact us through the website (see
Contact Us page), or call
Rose at 602-578-2904.
